DUBAI – The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced the retail petrol and diesel prices for July 2026, bringing a reduction across all fuel categories after several months of increases.

The revised rates will come into effect from July 1, 2026, and apply across fuel stations in the country. The monthly adjustment reflects changes in global energy markets and prevailing oil price trends.

Under the new pricing structure, Super 98 petrol will cost Dh3.40 per litre in July, down from Dh3.95 per litre in June. Special 95 petrol will be priced at Dh3.29 per litre, compared with Dh3.83 last month, while E-Plus 91 petrol will fall to Dh3.21 per litre from Dh3.76.

Diesel prices will also see a reduction, dropping to Dh3.60 per litre in July from Dh4.33 in June.

The UAE Fuel Price Committee reviews retail fuel rates at the end of every month based on global market movements, with adjustments linked to international oil prices and local fuel distribution factors.

The latest reduction follows four consecutive months of rising fuel prices, during which UAE petrol and diesel rates increased by more than 60 percent. The increase came amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, including the US-Israel-Iran conflict and disruptions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.

Global oil prices recorded a downward trend throughout June, creating expectations for lower retail fuel costs in July. The decline in international energy prices has influenced the latest adjustment announced by the committee.

Fuel price movements continue to affect household expenses, as petrol and diesel costs are a regular part of daily spending for motorists, businesses and transport operators.

The UAE’s fuel market has also been undergoing wider changes following the country’s announcement in April 2026 that it would exit Opec and Opec+, effective May 1, 2026, after around six decades of membership. The move could allow the UAE to increase oil output beyond previous quota-linked limits as additional production capacity becomes available.-
